With almost 700 million people living in rural areas, Africa’s economy is inherently dependent on agriculture, which accounts for over 30% of the continent’s gross domestic product. But the cruel reality is that, despite agriculture playing a prominent role in African economy, a vast majority of those people still lives in extreme poverty, earning less than US$ 1.25 a day. We realize the huge potential of Africa’s agricultural system, and the urgent need to enhance sustainable agricultural and rural development in Africa; hence we will be providing various forms of assistance, primarily technical and technological, to the destitute areas that have high potentials to develop an agriculture-based economy, freeing those people from the extreme poverty.
