100 Million Learners

100 Million Learners program in partnership with Thunderbird is providing online access to world class entrepreneurship and innovation education from Arizona State University and Thunderbird Management School with accreditation in 40 languages at no cost to the world’s underserved communities, with an emphasis on women and young women.

On April 2023, Tomorrow Foundation signed a partnership with Thunderbird School of Global Management (Thunderbird), home of the world’s No. 1 ranked Master’s in Management, and Arizona State University (ASU), ranked No. 1 for innovation in the U.S., No. 1 in the US ranking for SDGs, to collaborate on the implementation of the 100 million learners program in Africa.

THE INITIATIVE

100 Million Learners offers three global entrepreneurship and innovation certificates digitally in 40 different languages to learners across the globe. Women and young women will account for 70% of the 100 million learners the program will reach worldwide. The certificate will be covered by full scholarships and, thus, no cost to learners because of the philanthropic support undergirding the initiative.

Once the learners complete the certificate courses, they will have an almost limitless number of lifelong learning options and alternative educational pathways through Thunderbird/ASU or the academic institution of their choice. Based on the skillsets learners have acquired through this initiative, they will be ready to improve their lives by accessing better jobs and launching new enterprises.

Tomorrow Foundation commited to be a key recruiter of 100 Million Learners in Africa by providing awareness to the people in the region through partnership with educational institutions, businesses, government, and local communities.

THE OBJECTIVE

The global objective for Africa is to reach 25 millions learners in the next 10 years, including 70% of women. Tomorrow Foundation commited to recruit at least 1,500,000 learners over the next three years.

The 100 Million Learners Initiative will further advance Thunderbird’s and Tomorrow Foundation's missions to empower and influence global leaders and managers who maximize the benefits of the Fourth Industrial Revolution to advance equitable and sustainable prosperity worldwide. The Fourth Industrial Revolution refers to the current era characterized by a fusion of technologies that is blurring the lines between the physical, digital, and biological spheres. This 100 Million Learners fundamentally advances Goal 4 of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, far exceeding it in both ambition and boldness. It is hence fully aligned with Tomorrow Foundation's current focus on digitalization of Africa, education and possibiltiy to create future leaders. It is fully integrated to the other initiatives of the Foundation, complementing perfectly the Futureprenereuship and JA Deep educational programs.
